Kohls' Model Search Update~~:3

It's raining outside as I type this entry and I love it! I adore the sound of rain!

On Tuesday I went to get measured to become a model for Kohls' department store, and all was well!
I was sooooo excited that I stayed up the night before planning my outfit:

Mint green, whoooo!
This seems to be a super popular color this spring since I've seen a lot of girls in this color.  The polish is by Sally Hansen, called "Mint Sorbet".

This purse was love at first sight for me!
I was so happy when I saw it on the shelf since I knew the color would match up just right.

So I paired it all out and it turned out pretty nicely, if I do say so myself:

Lace Blazer: Kohls
Brown top: Target
Mint pants: H&M
Belt: NY&co.
Cream heels: Target
Bag: Target

The fitting and measuring went nicely!
They measured me everywhere and even took a picture to keep on file as well. I admit...I kinda gawked when they measured my hips and they turned out to be 38 inches wide!!! *insert horrified face here* Totally didn't know where any of that could've come from...my mom made a joke and said it was because of my 'big backside'. Lol
I also found out that I didn't qualify for intimates modeling since my poor little boobies are too small. >.< Which was kinda disappointing, but I had to remind myself that general modeling was my main purpose! ^_~

Decided to go for very light make-up and nothing too flashy since they probably needed to get a good look at my face:

And afterwards my mom was being a pro-photographer and took some really good pictures of me outside, since it was a nice day!:

The last two photos I edited with picnik lol....today is the last day it's open so I had to get my edit on!!! hahaah

All in all the measuring was already a success, in my opinion! Regardless if I get called back or not...now I must wait and see. I am really hoping that they do! This is my second time trying out for modeling, and I'm praying that I can move forward with it now.

On Saturday I have another tryout with Je Suis talent agency at 2pm, so hopefully this one goes well too! Please continue to offer me your support, because I'm really gonna need it! *nervous* D:

Would any of you ever want to try modeling? Have you ever done modeling at all, and what was it like for you?

Naniberi's fashion DO's and DON'Ts!!~♥

Mkay, so it's not in a week like I originally said, LOL. But FINALLY I've gotten around to writing my top fashion do's and don'ts!

When I go out in my town, I am always always getting compliments on how I look, even though a lot of times I feel like I look like complete and utter sh!t, haha.
But sometimes it's strangers, sometimes family and even my friends and coworkers that compliment me...and I really appreciate it all so much.♥
I used to be a seriously ugly duckling when I was a younger kid at age 10 probably through 15. Skinny and lanky, messy hair, mismatched clothes, weird teeth, ugly nails. And I was really shy and extremely socially awkward. >.<Me and bear-chan. I love him. yay me. I also love my new hair bangs. =]
Pictures when I was like 15-19-ish? Still derpy! :p

Me and hello kitty being fly...notice the Japanese on shirt

How do I always have a mirror pic w/ a hello kitty shirt on?

Acting goofy in pic n save!! ^^'
Justa' herpin' mah derp. xD

On top of that I was completely inhibited, had no self esteem whatsoever!
I'd always wanted to be a fashionable person, and though I'd always had it in me I never had the confidence to go through with it until after I graduated high school, and since then I've completely uninhibited myself and my confidence has been SO much better! (Though I'm still a bit critical of myself..haha.(#/。\#)

One of the number one questions that I get asked by people is "How do you put it all together? How can I better accesorize my outfits similar to how you do it? How can I make my clothes work on me like how they do for you?"

I noticed that so many different varieties of people were asking me the same questions, but since I have so many things that I go by it was kinda hard to assess everyone's individual issue in regards to fashion lol...so that's when I decided to sit down and think of the top do's and don't's that I follow personally! (☆^ー^☆)

Now I don't claim to be the best most fashionable person ever, but I do believe that I've at last, found a style and technique that works for me...and I would love to inspire or maybe even help other girls (gyaru or non-gyaru) reach their potential by sharing my visions and viewpoints!!

And nooooow with all that said, let's start with the DO's!

It's OFFICIAL!!! :D

So I've OFFICIALLY decided what I will dress as if I should go to Anime Milwaukee in February!

I will dress as a KOGYARU!♥ ♥

I'm going to wear a ridiculously cute school uniform. This would be PERFECT for me to go as, seeing as though I have some of what I need for it already! And for those of you who might be ready to b*tch about how kogyaru isn't cosplay, yes...I know, and I wouldn't be wearing it as such. But I don't have enough time to prepare a costume and since this will be my first time EVER going to an anime con I didn't want to dress up right away without learning a bit about it first, less I end up looking like a weaboo. And all of this is IF I even decide to go....the tickets are $35 but they haven't said yet if they'll be any music artists or celebrities or anything there...I don't want to waste my money on something lame. =/ Since Milwaukee is so small we usually get the basics and nothing really dramatic.Sooo I guess I'll just keep checking back.

Anyhoo, speaking of which…on the Saturday before Christmas I was supposed to meet up with gal pal Ari-chan and a couple of other girls from Dollface nago-sa but unfortunately something came up and we ended up having to reschedule. I was kinda down about it because I was really looking forward to meeting with Ari-chan…she is such an awesome gal and I feel like I can learn so much from her. But on the flipside I got to do some major Christmas shopping and go to a basketball game AND I looked pretty lovely while doing them both! Haha

Eyes: Maybelline New York Line Express eyeliner in 'Ebony Black': white shadow in corners of eyes
Lips: Revlon Color Burst Lip Butter in 'Pink truffle'
Face: Revlon Photo Ready Foundation in 'Cappuccino'

And my cute outfit (excuse my crappy editing to blur out my messy dresser..lawlz):
Dress: D.E.B
Bag: Coquettish*Tiara
Beret: Rakuten Curvy's

Got to have some yummy starbucks too!

Oh it was so freaking good. I think that starbucks has contributed to 75% of my weight gain.

I’m hoping that Ari-chan and I can reschedule the meeting soon…it’s so great that she accepted me into her nago-sa even though I’m still quite a novice and not actually in Chicago.   Ari is such an awesome gyaru and I’m eternally thankful and really excited about contributing to dollface!

Some pics of ari, such an inspirational gaijin gyaru ^_~:

Stupid Milwaukee has absolutely NO gyaru circles whatsoever, but the Chicago gal scene is pretty fierce so I guess that’s okay. I will continue to improve and define my style…maybe even inspire other Milwaukee natives to follow the gal style too...I can hope, right??

Anyhoo, that’s about it for now! Comments are of course, always welcomed!
